Dr. Leshia Ferguson ND
DR. LESHIA FERGUSON ND completed her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Degree in Toronto at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Leshia’s undergraduate training was at the University of Saskatchewan where she received a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Microbiology and Botanical Medicine.
In addition to offering acupuncture and Asian medicine, homeopathy, lifestyle and nutritional counselling, Leshia has furthered her training in Matrix Repatterning and is a Reiki Master/Teacher.
She is also a Member in Good Standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Saskatchewan Association of Naturopathic Doctors. In the past, she has been on multiple boards such as President of the Saskatchewan Association of Naturopathic Practitioners, Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and provincial representative on the Canadian Naturopathic Coordinating Council just to name a few.
What is Naturopathic Medicine?
THE PRIMARY GOAL of naturopathic treatment is to address the root cause of illness, rather than simply treating or suppressing the symptoms. The patient is seen as a whole person and the ND takes the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions into account when diagnosing and developing a treatment plan.
THE PRIMARY THERAPIES used by naturopathic doctors are: acupuncture and Asian medicine, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, clinical nutrition, physical medicine and lifestyle counselling. In addition, NDs may take special interest in a field or learn other modalities.
What kinds of health problems can be treated?
Many health conditions and people of all ages may benefit from treatment by naturopathic doctors.
